ENEX Dissemination Conferences in June and July

Throughout June and July, all project partners have successfully completed their dissemination conferences, more than 150 participants have thereby been informed about ENEX project. The aim of the dissemination events was also the acquisition of multipliers as well as the establishment of networks within which the ENEX project can be disseminated after the end of the funding period.

The Polytechnic University of Bucharest started on 12 June, more than 80 stakeholders, as well as a member of the National Agency in Romania, were guests when Prof. Amza and his team presented the project results.

On June 20th, the conferences were held in Lodz as well as in Florence and on July 5th, a dissemination event took place in Enschede in the Netherlands.

The final conference of the ENEX project was held in Düsseldorf. On July 11, approximately 40 participants came to the Life Science Center.

After the greeting from INTAMT CEO Yuri Nikitin, Dr. Torsten Dunkel, representative of the National Agency at the BIBB, gave a brief overview of the ERASMUS + activities and promotion activities of the agency in the field of vocational training. The presentation of the ENEX research and project results were taken over by Daniel Bleich (INTAMT GmbH) and Dr. Martin Bennink (MESA +).

In the following, Michael Nolden (ZENIT), Dr. Thomas Schröder (TU Dortmund) and Heinz G. Brückelmann (Cluster NMWP.NRW) discussed different application and interface fields that can be linked to the ENEX course. In addition to the promotion of innovation, these were the areas of blended learning and vocational education as well as the supraregional promotion through political instruments.

During the final come-together, cooperation and dissemination opportunities as well as links between different networks were discussed.

6th Transnational ENEX Project meeting in Empoli

From May 27th to May 28th, 2017, the 6th ENEX TPM took place in Empoli, Italy. Host was the Faculty Agenzia per lo Sviluppo Empolese Valdelsa SpA (ASEV). The aim of the project is the elaboration of an e-learning course for professionals, which provides specific know-how on the economic use of nanotechnological research results. The ENEX project consists of four outputs:

- ENEX Competence Profile

- ENEX Curriculum

- ENEX e-Learning Course.

- Guidelines for validating and verifying the course

In addition to the development of the curricula, the contents have also been completed in the past months. After the implementation of the content on the ENEX e-Learning platform has been completed, the pilot training courses will be held over the coming weeks in order to have the consistency and logic of the materials developed reviewed by outsiders. The questionnaire provided for this purpose was developed by the partner IFAC, and the findings thus gained are then incorporated into the development of the final online course. Upon completion of the course, the participants receive a corresponding certificate proofing the qualifications acquired. The certificate itself is issued and signed by all participating partners.

After the successful nanotechnology conference in Münster in December, numerous marketing activities are planned for the last three months of the project. A dissemination event is organized in each of the partner regions, the dates and venues will be communicated by e-mail in the course of May. The aim of the events is to present the e-learning platform as well as the results of the past three years and to discuss the possibilities and perspectives of the ENEX project. In addition, the ENEX consortium is currently planning further dissemination events at conferences and trade fairs as well as online.

The ENEX course was rated excellently several times by the German National Agency and is one of the most highly rated projects currently being funded

ENEX at the 7.th NRW Nano Conference in Munster

From December 7th to December 8th, the NRW Nano Conference, the most important nanotechnological conference in Germany, took place in Münster. The application and development of nanotechnological research was the subject of numerous lectures and discussions. The conference focused particularly on the interface between research and industry as well as innovative methods for linking. Exactly here, ENEX offers modern and sustainable solutions for research and industry - with a future-oriented training course.

It was the first dissemination event of the ENEX project. In the course of the poster session, we had the opportunity to hold numerous interesting discussions and to present the ENEX project to a boarder international public. Several companies, networks and representatives of educational institutions have expressed their interest in becoming partners of the ENEX project and furthermore promised to share information on the ENEX project in their respective networks. A very positive feedback showing that the project idea and the current implementation correspond to the needs of both companies and research facilities. Inter-European cooperation as well as the prospect of international cooperation were also praised. The project coordinators will deepen the newly established contacts in the coming weeks in order to gain additional dissemination opportunities for the upcoming pilot trainings and the final project year until the release of the e-learning platform.

5th Transnational ENEX Project meeting in Bucharest

The 5th ENEX TPM took place in the Rumanian city of Bucharest from September 19th to 20th 2016. The event was hosted by the IMST institute of the Polytechnic University of Bucharest. The aim of the project is the elaboration of an e-learning course for professionals, which provides specific know-how on the economic use of nanotechnological research results. The ENEX project consists of four outputs:

- ENEX Competence Profile

- ENEX Curriculum

- ENEX e-learning course

- Guidelines for validating and assessment of the course

In project management, the project coordinator INTAMT had a change of personnel, since the end of August 2016 Daniel Bleich has been the new ENEX project manager. Within the framework of the meeting, the conference focused on the progress of the curriculum development and the e-learning platform.

The development of the curricula is almost finished and should be completed in the coming weeks. While there was little discussion about the subject content, it was intensively discussed how teaching contents can be communicated as appealing as possible. The concern was particularly to illustrate the contents of the lectures, based on videos, short presentations and graphs, thus illustrating the real value of the respective technology. Each submodule will be completed in the future with a short quiz, which serves to deepen and repeat the learned material.

It was also discussed how to adapt the online platform to create the most interactive and responsive learning environment possible. In order to secure the professional claim as well as the value of the course, transfer queries and case studies have to be processed in the final examination. A correspondingly large pool of questions will make it unlikely that questions in the final examinations repeat and therefore, answers cannot be memorized.

The certificate itself is issued and signed by all participating partners.

In the coming months, the top priorities will be the start of pilot trainings and the final completion of the learning content. As the first multiplier event, the ENEX project will be presented at the NRW Nano-Conference in early December. Within the framework of the conference, a first example module will also be presented to visualize the possibilities and objectives of the course.

The visit was concluded with a multi-hour guided tour of various nanotechnological institutes. The university has been funded extensively within the framework of an EU program and is now one of the leading institutions in the field of surface analysis in the world.

The ENEX course was rated excellently several times by the German National Agency and is one of the most highly rated projects currently being funded
